Early Harvest Regional Trial Postharvest Evaluation

Sixteen entries were grown for the early harvest Regional Trial and were processed into French fries this season. Of those, only Shepody (a control) produced fries with unacceptable differences in color between stem and bud ends, resulting in non-uniform fries. All other entries produced average Photovolt readings of 35 or greater, resulting in USDA ratings of “0″.
